Since 2010, Johann Ruttloff has been producing jeans and shirts of the highest quality from Japanese selvedge denim in his workshop in Dresden. He is one of the few pioneers of artisanal and sustainable jeans production in Germany.  The same quality craftsmanship is used by Hummel & Hummel, another German company. The shoe manufacturer has been producing all shoes of the "Made-in-Germany" KangaROOS line for a long time.

Now Hummel & Hummel are incorporating the hand-sewn materials of Ruttloff into the upper of these new sneakers. Thus, this KangaROOS Ultralite has a denim upper with leather and suede of high quality.
