On Thursday, July 22, 2021, Kanye West will debut his new album 'Donda' at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. It is already his tenth release and people from his circle have a lot to say about it.
The new project is called DONDA. West named the album after his mother, Donda West, who passed away in 2007 at the age of 58. On DONDA, you can expect collaborations with Tyler The Creator, Lil Baby, Travis Scott and more. Images of Tyler and Kanye in the studio have even surfaced. This shows a whiteboard with what could be the full tracklist.
Donda tweets from famous people
Justin Laboy and Kevin Durant have already listened to the album, and Laboy let slip via Twitter. "Kanye played his new album for me & @KDTrey5 last night in Vegas. Man listen! The production is light years ahead of its time and the bars sound like he's broke and hungry to get another contract. Any artist planning to drop soon should just postpone it 😤 #Respectfully." - (@JustinLaboy) July 18, 2021.
Unfortunately, an official release date has not yet been set. Laboy did still give us the feeling that the album will be released this week. "Kanye West album is really ready. If it comes out this week, we probably won't be listening to anything else for a while…. Let me go enjoy all the current artists I'm listening to until then. God bless✌🏾 #Respectfully.", but Kanye is still Kanye, so we never know.
Producer Teddy Walton therefore shared via Twitter, "Stay tuned as more information on the DONDA release comes out, because as we all know only Kanye himself decides when it's time to release new music. Honestly, I can't wait for @kanyewest to release his album and I'm happy to be a part of history." - (@teddywalton) 19 July 2021
