The adidas Samba Zip is back in a three-colorway winter pack. adidas places a suede shroud with a zipper over the laces and tongue, giving the adidas Samba Zip a far more closed-off look than the classic terrace sneaker.

A zipper on the Samba isn't a new idea. Stone Island released a laceless zip version back in 2009, and atmos and Jeremy Scott have also given the model the zip treatment. This pack takes a calmer approach. The low profile stays, and so do the familiar side stripes. Only the front closes up.
That is exactly what makes it a logical winter update. The shroud covers the part of the shoe where rain and cold usually get in first, without making the silhouette any heavier. The zipper sits right in the middle of the shroud, so the front looks clean and symmetrical from above.
Three colorways in suede
The black adidas Samba Zip (KK2336) pairs a dark upper with grey Three Stripes and tonal details. Alongside it comes a brown suede version with purple stripes and branding, plus a blue pair with black overlays and grey accents. All three feature a black rubber toe and outsole, with contrast stitching running along the panels. Open the zipper and you'll find the familiar Samba tongue and laces underneath.

The pack is already available at a number of retailers internationally. In Europe, the black pair is already on sale for €130. Release dates and prices for the brown and blue colorways have not yet been confirmed for Europe. Check our product page to see exactly where you can buy the adidas Samba Zip.
