From matcha to grey: Molly-Mae launches Samba Slate with adidas

After this spring's matcha-green Samba, Molly-Mae is back with adidas Originals. The Molly-Mae Samba Slate drops on Friday 23 October 2026 at 08:00, alongside an autumn edit of apparel. The Molly-Mae Samba Slate costs €130.

From Love Island to adidas

If you don't know Molly-Mae Hague: she became famous in 2019 as a Love Island contestant, finishing runner-up with Tommy Fury. She has since grown into one of the best-known influencers in the UK.

She served as creative director at PrettyLittleThing and launched her own clothing brand Maebe in 2024. In the Prime Video series Molly-Mae: Behind It All, she showed what that life looks like behind the scenes.

Matcha and latte: the first collab

Her partnership with adidas Originals debuted on 9 April 2026. Molly-Mae went for not one but two silhouettes, both inspired by iced coffee and tea drinks.

The Samba 'Matcha' got a soft green upper, off-white stripes and a double lace set in white and baby pink. The Superstar II 'Latte' came in cream with brown stripes and coffee-toned laces.

For the second chapter, she picked the Samba again. Molly-Mae calls the return a natural next step and sees the Slate as a timeless piece for an autumn wardrobe.

Steve Marks, VP Brand at adidas UK, mainly praises how authentically she brings the brand's products to life.

Grey, gum and double laces

adidas is releasing the Samba Slate as a limited edition. Where the first Samba went with fresh pastel green, the Molly-Mae Samba Slate opts for a muted palette that suits autumn and winter better.

The low-profile silhouette with the T-shaped toe overlay stays instantly recognisable. The upper is made of textile in a heathered grey, with solid grey overlays around the toe and heel.

The three stripes are Off White, as is the Trefoil on the tongue. The official colorway is Grey Three / Off White / Gum.

Just like the first Samba, you get two sets of laces: off-white and grey, which run through the eyelets together in the product shots. Underneath sits the classic gum outsole, adding some warmth to the cool grey tones.
