The collaboration of Nike and Sean Wotherspoon will not have escaped your notice. The sneaker has been very popular since its release in 2018. Partly because of its colours, materials and special combination of the Nike Air Max 97, with the sole of the Air Max 1. After this release, it was impossible to imagine the sneaker game without Sean.
The adidas ZX is not the first adidas sneaker to get a makeover from Sean Wotherspoon. In 2020, the two released the adidas Superstar. As the name of the sneaker suggests, the adidas Superstar x Sean Wotherspoon is 'Super Earth', made from natural products. Sean has been working on this topic for some time now and runs a Vintage store called 'Round Two' among others. His second collaboration with adidas is also made vegan.

Last year, the sneaker was teased for the first time. Now the release is getting closer! The adidas ZX 8000 is 100% plant-based and recycled material is used. Many different colours, patterns and materials come together on the upper.
For example, we see bright green colours, but also red surfaces and panels with a Scottish check. The left and right sneaker do not look exactly the same. What we recognise from the previous adidas release with Sean, are the long threads and embroidered flowers. Again, the tongue reads 'Super Earth'.
According to the rumours, we can expect the Sean Wotherspoon x adidas ZX 8000 'Super Earth' in the month of February 2021. So we will see the release soon! Sean himself also mentioned on his Instagram that it wouldn't be long until we could get our hands on the sneaker. He also shared a picture of the shoe in kids sizes, which could mean that the sneaker would be dropping in full family sizes.
