At the tail end of 2025, Salehe Bembury announces a new sneaker with New Balance. The designer, who launched his own footwear brand SPUNGE in 2025 and collaborated with PUMA Hoops, turns his focus to the New Balance 992 silhouette for the first time with this release.
Part of the renowned Made in USA line, the release follows earlier collaborations such as the New Balance 990v2, 2002R, 530, and the recent 1000, each executed in bold, colorful colorways. A clear signature of the designer, as also highlighted in the book Salehe Bembury: I Make Shoes, published this year in collaboration with Rizzoli.
It will therefore come as no surprise that the New Balance Made in USA 992 features a vibrant color palette. The sneaker is covered from top to toe in hairy suede. The upper appears in a bright green hue, with blue, gray, and green accents.
The signature N logo is placed on the mid-panel, with a label stitched beneath it bearing Salehe Bembury’s name. The sneaker also features a cork insole and arrives in themed packaging.
At the time of writing, Salehe Bembury and New Balance have not officially announced the release. Based on previous rollouts, however, we can expect the pair to drop soon, likely in January 2026.
