New Balance is expanding its performance running line-up with a fresh silhouette designed for pure comfort. Say hello to the New Balance Ellipse, a shoe built for those who want to forget the metrics and simply enjoy the run.
New Balance is of course well known for its sportswear, running shoes, and innovative technologies in this area. Now, they are taking a step back from all the fancy developments currently happening in the world of running to focus purely on the feeling of running. The Ellipse silhouette is therefore engineered to help runners "lose track of time."

Whether you’re a beginner tackling your first few miles or a seasoned athlete looking for the perfect recovery shoe, the New Balance Ellipse might be the one for you. The first colorway available will be the 'Deep End & Glint Blue'.
Fresh Foam X with a Bounce
At the heart of the Ellipse lies the trusted Fresh Foam X midsole from New Balance, but with a twist. The cushioning has been reimagined to provide a bouncier, more energetic underfoot sensation compared to traditional daily trainers. Combined with a distinct rockered profile, the shoe promotes a smooth transition that feels easy on the body, making those daily kilometres feel effortless.
The upper is equally focused on comfort, featuring breathable engineered mesh, a plush cushioned tongue, and stretch laces for a secure yet flexible fit.

It’s not just for the casual jogger, though. New Balance has enlisted a heavy-hitting roster of ambassadors to showcase the shoe's versatility. From Olympic gold medallist Gabby Thomas and middle-distance star Parker Valby to the legendary Action Bronson, the Ellipse has already been spotted on the feet of influential figures across sport and culture.
Let’s also break down some of the technical details:
- Weight: 274g (Men's 9.5) / 218g (Women's 7)
- Drop: 8mm
- Stack Height: 37.8mm (Heel) / 29.9mm (Forefoot)
- Midsole: Enhanced Fresh Foam X
