The Nike SB Dunk High ‘New York Mets’ (DH7155-001) utilises the colours of the New York Mets Away uniforms through a Cloud Grey mesh and suede upper, and Rush Blue and Team Orange accents on the Swoosh, lining, tongue and heel tab. Sitting on a white midsole and gum outsole, one nice detail is the pink on the heel of the right shoe, which is a homage to the large amounts of bubblegum chewed by the players in the dugout. On the inside of the one tongue label, a purple circle around the number 7 is a nod to the 7-train that connects Willets Point Blvd. Station to Flushing Main St or Hudson Yards, and on the inside of the other, a red apple with a Mets skyline logo reads “Home Run”, in reference to the stadium’s giant apple that pops up at centre field when a Home player runs the bases.
