Amid all the loafer and ballerina sneaker trends, another movement is taking place: the 'SB-ifying' of Nike sneakers, so to speak. The Nike SB sub-label has been around for several years and is responsible for popular skateboarding sneakers such as the Nike SB Dunk, the Nike SB Chron 2, and the Stefan Janoski line.
In recent years, Nike SB has occasionally revisited classic Nike silhouettes, giving models like the Air Jordan 4 and the Air Max 95 the SB treatment. Now, the Air Force 1 is next in line.
The first images of a Nike SB Air Force 1 'Flax' have just surfaced, featuring a popular winter-ready colorway reminiscent of the iconic Timberland boots. While the technical details of the sneaker are not yet known, it is notable that the pair features Nike SB branding on both the heel tab and tongue tag.
At the time of writing, the Nike SB team has not officially announced the Air Force 1 Low. However, the release is expected to happen in 2026.
