Out Now: Timberland x Jacquemus Boat Shoe in Croc Leather

Timberland x Jacquemus opens a new chapter. After the light blue version from this summer, the two brands rework the Authentic Boat Shoe once more, now in croc-embossed leather. The new Timberland x Jacquemus pairs come in dark brown and navy.

The base is still the Authentic Boat Shoe, also known as the 3-Eye Classic Lug, which Timberland introduced in 1978. Jacquemus keeps the familiar construction intact but switches to Timberland leather with an embossing that mimics the texture of exotic reptile skin. So it isn't real crocodile leather. The three eyelets that give the model its name remain easy to spot.

You also get a rubber lug outsole, a padded leather collar, a leather lining and an EVA footbed that is three-quarters covered in leather. The laces are made from 100% recycled PET. The branding stays subtle: a tree logo in the same shade as the upper and aglets carrying both brands' logos. There's barely any contrast. The texture does the talking.

This is already the third time Jacquemus has taken on this model. In April 2025, the first version arrived in pale yellow leather to mark the French label's fifteenth anniversary. This summer brought the light blue 'Le Bonheur', inspired by Art Deco architecture and 1980s Memphis design.

The choice of shoe is a personal one: Simon Porte Jacquemus, who founded the label in 2009, regularly wears the boat shoe himself. Timberland has teamed up with fashion houses more often in recent years, including Louis Vuitton. Jacquemus, for its part, has already released five footwear collaborations with Nike.

Two shades, one texture

The dark brown 'Brown Croc' (TB0A6G7F09C) colorway ties in with the model's outdoor roots. The 'Navy Croc' (TB0A6G7F09D) looks cooler and nudges the boat shoe towards dressier outfits.

Both pairs are available now from Timberland for €320 each and are part of the brand's limited edition collection. Jacquemus is also said to offer them through its own webshop.

For comparison: the light blue Authentic Boat Shoe from this summer cost €250. You can still find that version in our sneaker search engine, including current offers. With the croc versions, the partnership clearly moves towards a more luxurious look.
