Nike and Zellerfeld continue to focus on the Air Max 1000, unveiling the first Multicolor version of the model. In recent months, we’ve only seen monochrome colorways, including the recent ‘Lilac’ release and the elegant ‘Oatmeal’ from last spring.
With a new breakthrough in dual-color printing, Zellerfeld succeeds in combining multiple colors within a single design. In previous releases, the color choices were determined by the available materials and components. Now, the color can be printed directly onto the shoe.
This development opens the door to endless color combinations, with the first example being a purple-and-black colorway. The currently shown sample demonstrates how a completely black sneaker can be enhanced with purple details applied directly to the design.
The Nike Air Max 1000 is set to make its debut in 2026 with its first two-colorway release. Whether this will actually be the purple-and-black variant has not yet been officially confirmed, though it seems likely.
