ASICS is on a roll and unveils another groundbreaking collaboration, this time with Fidan Novruzova.
The duo presents a new chapter in the ASICS Crafts for Mind series, where craftsmanship, precision, and material innovation take center stage.
The Moldovan designer, known for her sculptural creations, reinterprets the ASICS GEL-CUMULUS™ 16 in a limited edition of 100 handmade pairs.
ASICS Crafts for Mind
The sneaker is crafted from the same premium leather used in Fidan Novruzova’s shoes and accessories. The model, regarded as an art object, features a folded square tongue with an oversized leather tassel, a playful nod to classic loafers.
A trend that, in 2025, has completely taken over the sneaker landscape. The collaboration reflects ASICS’ Japanese design philosophy of care, attention, and respect for materials, in harmony with Fidan’s artisanal and experimental approach. A match made in heaven, if you ask me.
The project continues the Crafts for Mind program, which debuted during Paris Fashion Week. This initiative encourages designers to apply their own techniques to iconic ASICS models.
A beautiful detail: part of the proceeds will go to the Fondation Pour la Recherche sur l’Endométriose, supporting research and care for women with endometriosis.
Release
The ASICS GEL-CUMULUS™ 16 will be available in the colorways Cherry Red and Black and will release on October 31, 2025, exclusively at Fidan Novruzova, for a retail price of €260.
