Nike Air Max 1 'Light Madder Root' will drop soon

The Air Max 1 model is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, 2022, and one of the ways Nike is doing so is with the 'Light Madder Root'. The sneaker has a fresh look and suede elements. The 'Light Madder Root' will drop on May 1, 2022.

Nike shows the official images of the 'Light Madder Root'. The sneaker has a light pink upper, this one is made of mesh. The mudguard colours pink, as well as the heel tab. A light blue overlay is placed on the center panel. The Swoosh colours green, as well as the logo on the tongue and the Air Unit in the midsole.

The 'Light Madder Root' has an off-white midsole, that gives the sneaker a retro look. The brown outsole matches well with the label on the tongue and completes the pair. The heel features the Nike Air Max logo printed in beige.

The Nike Air Max 1 'Light Madder Root' will probably be released on May 1, 2022. Check out the official images below and keep an eye on our release calendar to stay up to date.

After a few years of quietness in terms of Nike Air Max 1 releases, 2022 saw a lot of great releases. We saw drops in collaboration with Concepts but there were also plenty of 'general releases' on the schedule.

A cheerful sneaker with some nice light colours, the heel piece and mudguard of the Air Max 1 'Madder Root' are made of short suede and have the a dusky pink colour. The overlays have a light blue colour that contrasts nicely with the mudguard. The Swoosh is also made of suede and is coloured green. A nice detail is that the heel-branding says AIR MAX instead of AIR. This is also seen on the Air Max 1 'Treeline'.
