<p>After a successful first collaboration, <strong>adidas</strong> and the Los Angeles-based label <strong>Sporty &amp; Rich</strong> are returning for a second round. The <strong>adidas x Sporty &amp; Rich</strong> collection is centered on cutting through the chaos of life and will be released in <strong>May 2023.</strong></p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What is Sporty &amp; Rich </h2>



<p>In 2015, the founder of <strong>Sporty &amp; Rich</strong>, Emily Oberg, moved from Alberta to New York City to work at Complex magazine. While there, she began creating the <strong>Sporty &amp; Rich </strong>concept: a magazine focused on vintage sportswear mixed with luxury. With no intention of actually turning it into a brand, <strong>Sporty &amp; Rich</strong> naturally grew into what it is today.</p>

<p>In late 2022, <strong>adidas</strong> and <strong>Sporty &amp; Rich</strong> first came together for a collab. Oberg's brand managed to put a vintage touch on classic adidas models, releasing a<strong> Samba OG</strong>, a <strong>Campus 80's</strong>, and a <strong>Stan Smith</strong>. Now in 2023, the two come back together for a second collaborative effort.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">adidas x Sporty &amp; Rich </h2>



<p>With the second round of this collab. Oberg brings vintage sportswear references across the entire collection, recreating some of adidas's archival silhouettes for the present day. <strong>Sporty &amp; Rich</strong> brings out the <strong>Samba OG</strong> in three different colorways.</p>

<p><strong>'Blue Rush</strong>', <strong>'Cream White</strong>', and a <strong>'White' Samba</strong>. While the latter sees the original black, white, and gum accents. The 'Cream White' edition has a tan leather base, accompanied by tonal suede mudguards, light blue Three Stripes branding, and marked heel tabs. The final colorway gets an inverted version of the previous colorway. All the colorways come with a custom pearl keyring and co-branded boxing.</p>



<p>Next to the <strong>Samba</strong> colorways, <strong>adidas</strong> and <strong>Sporty &amp; Rich</strong> bring out a vintage-looking apparel collection. Branded tees in contrasting hues and dual-branded hits, V-neck sweaters, soccer jerseys, and nylon shorts bring a fresh look to classic silhouettes.</p>

The adidas x Sporty Rich collection


<p>Los Angeles-based label Sporty &amp; Rich has an extensive history: the brand from founder Emily Oberg started with a mood board that soon grew into a magazine. The magazine grew into a globally known imprint which turned itself into a successful brand. In 2023, we can expect no less than three Samba colorways from Sporty &amp; Rich in collaboration with <a href="https://snkrjg.rs/1805b73" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">adidas</a>.</p>



<p>The brand is no stranger to adidas, having previously released an adidas Samba OG, a Campus 80s and a Stan Smith in 2022. Now, adidas and Sporty &amp; Rich have teamed up again to drop the Samba in new colorways.</p>



<p>The duo releases three new colorways of the currently popular <a href="https://www.sneakerjagers.com/en/sneakers/search?query=samba" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">adidas Samba silhouette</a>. All three sneakers feature premium leather, the classic black accents and, of course, the Three Stripes on the centre panel. The first silhouette comes in a black and white colorway, the second in a beige shade and the third sneaker is a blue variant.</p>
