Utrechters have had to wait a while, but this month the city is finally getting its very own UNIQLO store. Following previous openings in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, and Amstelveen, the Japanese fashion giant is now establishing a presence in the "Domstad."
The arrival of the store has been anticipated for some time. The intended location—the former Superdry building on the Oudegracht, had been vacant for a while, easily recognisable by its white-covered windows. Although a specific opening date was initially withheld, it has now been confirmed that the doors will open on April 30th at 10:00 AM.

To celebrate the grand opening, UNIQLO is collaborating with local initiatives and creatives, including De Utrechtse Boekenbar, illustrator Philip Lindeman, and the student app Turff, aiming to strengthen its connection with the Utrecht community.
The choice for Utrecht is widely seen as a logical expansion of the retailer’s Dutch network. With a floor space of approximately 750 m², the branch will be positioned among well-known retailers such as HEMA, Foot Locker, H&M, and G-STAR.
The store will focus on the so-called "LifeWear" collection: a range of timeless, functional, and affordable essentials. This includes the popular AIRism line and various linen items, both known for their comfort and quality.
So, if you are still looking for high-quality essentials or a new bag for the festival season, mark April 30th, 2026, in your calendar and visit UNIQLO Utrecht.
The address of UNIQLO Utrecht is Oudegracht 127.
