The long-awaited rerelease of the UNDEFEATED x Air Jordan 4 is finally here. On August 2, 2025, the sneaker from 2005 returns in its well-known olive green and orange colorway, although this color palette wasn’t originally planned for the sneaker.
Eminem
In a recent interview with Complex, James Bond (no, not 007), co-founder of UNDEFEATED, and Chris Gibbs, creative director, revealed that their first design idea was inspired by the BlackBerry from the early 2000s.
The duo designed a sample with a dark blue upper, combined with white and gray details and striking red accents. A color combination suspiciously similar to the Air Jordan 4 collaboration with Eminem, which paid tribute to his fifth studio album Encore (2004). And that’s no coincidence.
For years, there has been a rumor that Eminem, during a visit to Nike’s headquarters, saw the sample of the UNDEFEATED x Air Jordan 4, immediately fell in love with it, and made a deal with UNDEFEATED to release that colorway himself. Now, for the first time in years, this rumor has been (cautiously) confirmed by UNDEFEATED’s Cruz.
Not long after, photos of rare samples surfaced that only further confirmed these rumors. Everything is falling into place.
The final UNDEFEATED x Air Jordan 4, which, in my opinion, is even better, will drop on August 2, 2025, at UNDEFEATED. Don’t miss this release.
