The Awake NY x Air Jordan 5 is without a doubt one of the most coveted sneaker collaborations of the year, alongside releases from names like Corteiz, UNDFTD, and Patta. After a hectic and much-discussed first drop, a second (and final) release of the collaboration is now on the way.
On Saturday, August 30, 2025, the Racer Blue colorway will be available at Nike and select retailers. The sneaker features the popular Arctic Pink colorway, which sold out quickly.
Awake NY, the New York-based streetwear label, took its first steps into the Jordan family in 2024 with a two-piece Air Ship pack. Early in 2025, the first rumors of an Air Jordan 5 release began circulating. After the sneaker was already spotted on the feet of, among others, Sukii Baby, you know, the one from Drake’s album cover, you can now finally get your hands on the pair yourself. Although in this case, it’s the blue colorway.
The sneaker comes with a number of striking details. The familiar mesh panel on the side has been updated with a reflective ‘A’-cutout. In addition, the Jumpman logo on the tongue has been replaced with the Awake logo.
The Awake NY x Air Jordan 5 ‘Racer Blue’ will drop on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at exactly 9:00 a.m. via SNKRS and selected retailers. Check the list of retailers in the Sneakerjagers release calendar and don’t forget to set your alarm.
