In an era where nothing seems too bold in the world of sneakers, adidas unveils the Samba Boot: a clash between sneaker and boot. It’s adidas’ own take on New Balance’s 1906L, nicknamed the ‘snoafer,’ which blends the design of sneakers and loafers, but this time as a boot.
Does this make it a ‘leaker’? Or more of a ‘snoot’?
The adidas Samba Snakeskin Boot is a hybrid silhouette that, at least for me, came out of nowhere. The sneaker, or rather, boot, features an eye-catching design executed entirely in shiny snakeskin. The pair comes with a removable collar that transforms the shoe from a sneaker to a boot.
The ‘leaker’ or ‘snoot’ combines olive-green accents that nicely contrast with the navy upper. Without the collar, it’s your typical adidas Samba, and the luxe materials are reminiscent of the Wales Bonner collaborations from a few years ago.
Still, I secretly find the design stronger with the collar, though there are likely plenty who would disagree.
The release, officially the adidas Samba Snakeskin Boot ‘Navy Snakeskin', is scheduled for fall 2025. Keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers news page for updates on this and other releases.
