With the Super Bowl taking place this week in the Bay Area, and Bad Bunny headlining the Halftime Show, the timing for the collaboration between adidas and San Francisco rapper Larry June couldn’t be better. Larry previously appeared in an adidas campaign for the Adistar Control 5, and now he gets his own collab.
The first images of the collaboration surfaced a few weeks ago, when the rapper shared a photo of the pair on his Instagram. Now, with all eyes on San Francisco this weekend, Larry is taking it up a notch.

On Instagram, he posted a photo showing no fewer than four pairs of the sneakers, neatly displayed in the trunk of his silver Ferrari. A subtle but telling way to showcase the collab, totally in Bay Area style.
The sneaker features an orange-and-gray colorway that perfectly matches the San Francisco Giants, with green details that add an extra pop.
In recent months, adidas has been heavily pushing the Adistar Control 5 through exclusive releases and collabs with select retailers. This collaboration with Larry June fits right in and, in our opinion, is one of the most interesting collabs happening right now.
For now, the Larry June x adidas Adistar Control 5 has no official release date and seems to be a Friends & Family drop (though we’re secretly hoping for more).
