Edison Chen and adidas Originals are dropping two new shoes at once: the CLOT Superstar in blue suede and the CLOT Sawtooth Mule in light brown. Both arrive alongside a full apparel collection. On Friday 16 October, the CLOT Superstar and the mule drop at 08:00 via adidas.
The Superstar silhouette stays instantly recognisable, but the execution is anything but standard. The upper is done entirely in blue suede with a rough, hairy texture that gives the shoe a warm look. The three stripes and shell toe are kept in the same colour, so they almost blend in. Calm, but with character.
The standout detail sits at the bottom. A layered midsole with cream and blue lines runs into a serrated sawtooth outsole. A small yellow tab at the heel adds a subtle accent.
The CLOT Sawtooth Mule is the second shoe in the drop. It's an open-back slip-on built on the Superstar silhouette, complete with the familiar shell toe. The light brown upper shares the same rough, hairy suede look and gets olive green stripes, plus an olive green trim around the collar. White laces with tassels finish it off.
The mule also sits on a serrated sole, here in a warm gum tone topped by an olive green layer. That makes the two models clearly read as a pair, despite the difference in colour and shape. Where the Superstar stays a full sneaker, the mule is the option for slipping in quickly.
This isn't the first time CLOT has reworked the Superstar. Earlier this year saw the Superstar DS 'Coffee' and the Superstar 'Unity Orange', and spring brought a Mundial collection rooted in football history. The CLOT Superstar and the mule follow that line, but opt for a calmer palette of blue, sand and olive green.
Apparel rooted in Vancouver
Beyond the footwear, the collection includes a cargo jacket with matching shorts, finished with military-inspired accents. There's a vintage-style hockey jersey, a nod to Chen's youth in Vancouver. You'll also find track pants with braided rope details and a padded, reversible utility tote. Together, the pieces reference Chen's roots in Vancouver and Hong Kong, the city CLOT calls home.
The olive green of the mule returns in the cargo jacket and the tote, so the shoes and apparel tie together nicely. The campaign is drawn in anime style by Annie Choi, a longtime illustrator within the CLOT universe. It features Chen alongside South Korean group LNGSHOT.

Both shoes drop on Friday 16 October at 08:00 via adidas, the CONFIRMED app and select retailers. The CLOT Superstar by Edison Chen costs €200, the CLOT Sawtooth Mule by Edison Chen €180.
