After months of rumours, the Stranger Things x Nike Air Max 1 finally seems to be on the way. The sneaker, inspired by the fifth season of the popular Netflix series, is set to release on Thursday, 4 December 2025.
Subtle twists - Stranger Things x Nike Air Max 1
For this collaboration, the Air Max 1 comes in a ‘Team Maroon’ colorway, applied to the otherwise classic colorblocking. White mesh and grey overlays form the base, while ‘Maroon’ adds flare to the mudguard and other details on the sneaker. The inverted Nike branding on the tongue and heel references ‘The Upside Down,’ one of the iconic elements from the series.
In addition to this branding, a few other Stranger Things references have been added, such as the branding on the insole. The packaging also features a unique design, with a vintage-style box, printed paper, and a set of pins inspired by the series.

The Nike Air Max 1 Stranger Things Edition is expected to release on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 9:00 AM. The sneaker briefly appeared on Nike.com but disappeared just as quickly, only increasing the hype around the release. Other retailers have not yet been confirmed.
