Update June 10, 2025 - Less than a week after we saw the first images of a new Stone Island x New Balance collab, the official campaign images of this release have now appeared. At issue is the New Balance Numeric 272.
With this collaboration, Stone Island is taking its first bold step into the world of skateboarding.
The collaboration unveils three colorways: yellow, white, and blue. All three sneakers feature a low-top silhouette, something characteristic of skate shoes. The sneaker has a clean look and is made of premium materials, something we have come to expect from Stone Island.
The tongue features the Stone Island logo, and on the center panel we see the well-known N logo. The asymmetrical overlay on the toe cap gives the sneaker a unique, fresh look. In the campaign, shot by Jeremy Elkin and Jake Darwen, we see skaters Tiago Lemos, Justin Henry, and Davide Holzknecht skating through Milan.

Stone Island x New Balance Make Their Skateboarding Debut with Numeric 272
Original post June 5, 2025 -Stone Island and New Balance are teaming up for a new chapter in their ongoing collaboration, this time with their eyes on the skateboarding scene. Since joining forces in 2021, the two brands have delivered a series of well-received lifestyle and performance sneakers.
Now, they're stepping into skate culture with their first co-branded skate shoe: the Stone Island x New Balance Numeric 272.

The Numeric 272 silhouette arrives in a clean white palette, crafted from a mix of suede and synthetic materials. The tonal New Balance 'N' logo keeps things minimal, while royal blue 'Stone Island Marina' text adds a bold touch to the heel tab.
Finishing touches include a Stone Island Marina-branded tongue, a yellow co-branded insole, and a tonal rubber sole.
This first skate-focused release opens a new lane for both brands, hinting at future projects in the skate space.

The Stone Island x New Balance Numeric 272 is expected to drop in the coming weeks, with pairs expected to release via Stone Island's official website and select skate retailers.
