Is the Jellyfish getting a sequel? Backstage at the Dior show in Paris, Pharrell Williams stepped out in an unknown pair of adidas. It looks like the adidas Adistar Jellyfish V2, although that name isn't official yet. For now, the adidas Adistar Jellyfish V2 is mostly a teaser.

Pharrell, men's creative director at Louis Vuitton, attended the Dior Summer 2027 women's show to support Jonathan Anderson. On his feet: a grey pair with neon green accents. The silhouette looks even chunkier than the original, with protruding, sculpted pieces running across the upper. According to early reports, the model is still in the wear-testing phase.

From runway to retail
Pharrell first showed the original on the runway at Paris Fashion Week in January 2025. By August 2025 it had hit stores, priced at 300 euros. Its foundation comes from the adidas archive: the Adistar Cushion 3 from the mid-2000s. On top sits a cage of 3D-moulded TPU panels over a mesh upper, the tentacle-like web that gave the shoe its name. The heel holds adiPRENE.
The VIRGINIA branding on the tongue and insole refers to Pharrell's own creative platform, named after his home state. Plenty of colorways have followed since, from 'Real Green' and 'Triple Black' to 'Crystal Sand' and 'Chalk White'.
