It was perhaps the best collaboration of the past year: Aimé Leon Dore and Porsche. At the end of 2024, Teddy Santis’ label unveiled their collaboration with the German automaker, showcasing in their campaign the famous green leather jacket and the New Balance 993, alongside several other stunning clothing items.
For those who placed a pre-order for the ALD x New Balance 993 back then, there’s good news: the orders are on their way, and now that we have up-close images of the release, I can only say that my FOMO is real.
And they are beautiful, almost as striking as the green leather jacket from the campaign (yes, that one). The 993 has been more popular than ever over the past two years, thanks to its chic design and premium materials. The Aimé Leon Dore release features a dark green upper made from high-quality mesh and suede.
The yellow lining and bronze details on the heel contrast beautifully with the dark green upper. The model number is embossed in cursive on the heel, and the tongue features ‘New Balance Made in USA,’ which is also the line Santis oversees. The N-logo is visible on the mid-panel.
So no, this release is no longer available, except through resale platforms. For those who ordered the sneaker from Aimé Leon Dore last year, expect the release to arrive at your door within a few days (or weeks, since we’re in Europe).
