The Travis Scott x Nike is undoubtedly one of the most sought after collaborations in the sneaker world today. The Travis Scott sneaker empire is already starting to take shape with the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1, Travis Scott x Air Jordan 6, Travis Scott x Nike Dunk, Travis Scott x Nike Air Force 1 and the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 270. An iconic model that is still missing is the Nike Air Max 1. 

During SNKRS Day 2021, the Nike x Travis Scott collaboration for the Air Max 1 was announced. It was clear that the artist will release not one, but multiple versions of his Air Max 1. The release was supposed to take place during the Holiday Season of 2021. However, due to the terrible tragedy that happened during his show at the Astroworld festival in 2021, the release was postponed by Nike. 

The Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 gets a treatment that is not much different from the releases before it. The Swoosh has been flipped like La Flame's beloved Air Jordan 1, but it has been given a much slimmer, less pronounced shape. The iconic model also features a number of mountaineer-inspired elements, such as the signature roped laces and patterned webbing. The upper consists of a mesh underlay with suede overlays that are both 'Wheat' coloured while the webbing, rope laces and back of the tongue feature blue accents. A vintage finish on the midsole compliments the sneaker.
