The year 2021 marked the 20th anniversary of the New Balance 991 ukf 'Grey'. The 20th anniversary edition came in an authentic grey/navy colorway, which was inspired by the 1982 original. The silhouette of this sneaker is very subtle, the with a classic colour composition of beige and brown overlays, and grey breathable mesh bases. The used materials do not differ much from the original in this edition, as premium overlays of pigskin are used. In this way, New Balance stays true to the dedication they put into the quality of the model. The visual cues in honour of the anniversary can be found on the label behind the tongue and on the heel it says '2001'.
