JJJound and New Balance are no strangers to each other. Together, they have already released a number of different colorways. Also in 2021, the two released a minimalist sneaker. The kicks from this collaboration are always recognizable by the minimalism of the Canadian clothing label.
 
The upper of the 990v3 'Olive' is made of mesh, leather and suede. The base of the pair is in green and made of mesh. On the toebox and under the collar are leather overlays. These have a dark green colour. The rest of the overlays are made of suede and have the same green colour as the mesh. The 'N' on the side is in black.
