To answer the question immediately, yes. It has been a while since we heard anything about the CLOT x Nike Air Max 1, but a release date may have been announced. The first rumours surfaced in the spring of 2020. According to the rumours, two colorways would be released on the model that are inspired by an earlier Air Max 1 collab by CLOT x Nike called 'Kiss of Death'.
It has been fifteen years since we saw the original CLOT x Nike AM 1 'Kiss of Death'. The CLOT x Nike collaboration was very much in demand, but only a few pairs appeared. Remarkable materials were used such as suede, ostrich leather and snake print. There were also striking details on the upper. Partly thanks to the daring, but successful colour palette, the sneaker was a great success.
In 2013, we saw a second Air Max 1 collaboration between CLOT and Nike. This time around, the sneaker was done up in a grey colorway. On this sneaker, the Nike Hyperfuse technology was introduced which provided better ventilation and functionality. The sneaker also featured signature OG 'Kiss of Death' elements.

Unfortunately, no images of the upcoming CLOT x Nike collaboration have surfaced yet. According to sneaker leaker @py_rates, there will be two colorways. We expect the upcoming release to look like a combination of the previous 'Kiss of Death' collab. It looks like the colorways will feature brown and grey uppers with red Swooshes and mudguards on them. On the back of the heel, there seems to be some sort of patch. Underneath the upper runs a midsole with speckles, processed in the colour of the upper.
The CLOT x Nike collaboration will be released on Saturday, March 6, 2021 via Nike. While no images have surfaced yet, we can share a mock-up of what the sneaker might look like below. Scroll down to check out the mock-up! Keep an eye on Sneakerjagers for your daily dose of sneaker news.
