Founded in Miami in 2010 by Julian Consuegra, Stray Rats has a large following and is especially known for their influences from punk culture and the nostalgia that they incorporate into their designs. After collaborations with New Balance and Marc Jacobs, among others, it is now the turn for Carhartt WIP.
The Stray Rats x Carhartt WIP collection features a total of nine items. Some of the items are new variations of Carhartt WIP's OG Active Jacket, Western Jacket and Smith Pant. These items are made of denim or canvas and have a worn look. The jackets and trousers are available in blue and brown and have an all-over print. There will also be caps in the collection with the same print.
Besides the denim and canvas items, you will also find cotton garments such as jumpers and t-shirts. The t-shirts are available in different colours and also have different graphic prints on the chest. There is also a grey hoodie and grey crewneck in the collection. The crewneck looks inside out, but that is the eccentric design of the jumper.
As the icing on the cake, there is also a beanie in the collection. The beanie is brown and has the branding of both brands in yellow on the front.
The Stray Rats x Carhartt WIP SS22 collection will be released on Friday January 28 on the Carhartt WIP website. For an impression, take a look at the images from the lookbook.
