The Nike Cortez is a timeless classic that has been loved by sneaker lovers since 1972. With its iconic Swoosh and clean lines, this silhouette marks one of the first Nike designs ever and remains popular to this day. The Cortez also made several appearances in the film world- perhaps the most famous appearance was in Forest Gump. Good news for all the fans: this colorway will return in 2024. In the 1994 film, Tom Hanks' character receives the OG Cortez as a gift from Jenny Curran before embarking on his famous running adventure. The shoe has a white leather base with accents of varsity red, varsity blue and metallic silver. The red colour can be seen on the logo on the tongue, heel overlay and Swoosh, while a blue stripe is placed on the midsole. The look is completed with a waffle rubber outsole.
