For those who thought the adidas Handball Spezial had already had its moment, think again. On August 12, 2025, adidas will unveil the silhouette with an enlarged tongue, also known as LT (large tongue). The sneaker will be released in three colorways: 'Preloved Brown', 'Collegiate Green', and 'Wonder Beige Leopard'.

Now, the silhouette is receiving the same treatment the Samba received earlier, arriving in an LT version, short for Large Tongue. This detail is primarily used in football boots to tuck in the laces – a classic twist on a classic sneaker design.
The adidas Handball Spezial LT will be released in the colorways 'Preloved Brown', 'Collegiate Green', and 'Wonder Beige Leopard'. All three versions are made of premium leather and feature a sturdy gum sole, giving the pair a retro look. The sneaker retains its signature T-toe box and features the Trefoil logo on the tongue and heel.
A sneaker that, more than forty years after its original release, remains so popular that it now gets a refreshed yet unmistakably classic update. The three colorways will drop on August 12, 2025, at adidas.
