adidas has shown a slide that goes in the freezer first. The adidas Climacool Recovery Slides are a concept built for recovery after sport. adidas presented the adidas Climacool Recovery Slides at its Home of Innovation event at the brand's headquarters in Germany.

The design comes from the adidas APEX Center, the team that develops products with and for athletes. The idea is simple. You put the slides in the freezer, then slip them on so your feet cool down after training or a match.
Inside the slide sit fifteen gel cooling chambers: eleven in the footbed and four in the wide strap over the forefoot. According to early reports, that delivers up to roughly half an hour of cooling. Under the silicone outer skin sits HyperBOOST Pro foam for cushioning.

From printer to freezer
The adidas Climacool Recovery Slides are made with Rapid Liquid Printing, the 3D printing technique adidas previously used for its Climacool sneaker. Printing takes around seven hours, followed by a five-hour gel bath that cures the material. The result is semi-translucent and looks a lot like an ice pack.
Our take: an innovative design that goes well beyond fashion and style. Once again, adidas proves its creative mind. After the cooling vests that made waves at the 2026 World Cup, another cool design.
For now, it remains a concept. adidas hasn't shared anything about a release, price or colorways. That means the adidas Climacool Recovery Slides are not available yet.
