A collab that wasn’t on my 2025 bingo card: Needles and UNIQLO, two Japanese labels, are releasing an extensive collection. The collaboration features fleece jackets and pants, each adorned with Needles’ iconic little butterfly. As if it had always been meant to be.
If there’s one brand that has proven itself time and again over the past few years, it’s UNIQLO. The Japanese label is the global flagship of ‘LifeWear’ and focuses on functional, minimalist clothing. With its Japanese approach to quality and simplicity, UNIQLO has already won over many hearts—Needles’ included.
Needles, also a Japanese label, was founded in 1995 by Keizo Shimizu. The brand has evolved into a cult favorite thanks to its distinctive aesthetic, references to workwear and vintage military clothing, and the now-iconic ‘Track Pant’ and butterfly logo. Following collaborations with notable brands like Clarks, Palace, and ASICS, among others, UNIQLO is now next in line.
The collection focuses on soft fleece material and includes jackets, cardigans, and sweatpants. It combines UNIQLO’s high-quality craftsmanship with Shimizu’s aesthetic sensibility and forward-looking vision.
The Needles x UNIQLO collection will launch at UNIQLO on October 30, 2025. Check out the full collection with prices here.
Keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers news page for more articles like this, and I’ll see you in line at UNIQLO on the 30th.
