It might just be the sneaker of 2025: the adidas Adistar Jellyfish, designed by Pharrell Williams. The sneaker made its first appearance earlier this year during Paris Fashion Week and was released for the first time in August 2025 in the ‘Focus Olive & Orange’ colorway.
A few colorways later, we now see a 2.0 version of the sneaker, called the Adistar XLG 2.0.
The Adistar XLG 2.0 was spotted last week in Las Vegas. The sneaker is a slightly less extreme version of the Jellyfish. The bulky, wavy 3D overlays have been replaced with more subtle overlays that still utilize the same colors.
The first revealed colorway strongly resembles the ‘Focus Olive & Orange’ colorway in which the Jellyfish made its debut. Wavy overlays, geometric Three Stripes branding, and a chunky sole come together to form a simplified interpretation of the new model, possibly also designed by Pharrell.
At the time of writing, adidas has not officially announced the Adistar XLG 2.0 or its release date. However, the sneaker is expected to debut in this ‘Solar Orange’ colorway on February 5, 2026.
