PUMA has teamed up with Swarovski once more to unveil a limited-edition sneaker, celebrating the Austrian crystal brand's 130th anniversary. May we present: the Swarovski x PUMA Speedcat.
Originally introduced in 1999, the Speedcat model was designed as a racing shoe for Formula 1 drivers. The silhouette features a low-profile silhouette and a thin sole ideal for pedal precision. Over the years, it has evolved into a lifestyle and street style staple. The Speedcat also got a lot of different trending colorways over the past years since its re-introduction.
PUMA x Swarovski - more than another shoe design
The Swarovski x PUMA Speedcat now reimagines this classic model with a striking upper. This is adorned with no less than 5,316 black Swarovski crystals in four different sizes. These crystals create a shimmering effect that catches the light from every angle. The monochrome black suede upper and matching rubber sole provide a sleek contrast, so that the crystals can take center stage.
Furthermore, PUMA's signature Formstrip subtly integrates into the design, formed by the negative space between the crystals, maintaining the silhouette's original identity.
