Back to the Wild: Nike ACG Re-establishes Its Performance Roots for 2026

Nike ACG Is Back! In 2026, the Swoosh is taking its All Conditions Gear (ACG) line back to where it belongs: deep in the mud, up the crags, and well off the beaten track. ACG is focusing on trail running, hiking, and exploration. The goal? To lead the way in outdoor gear for athletes everywhere.

When you hear "ACG", your mind probably wanders to some neon-drenched 80s palettes and Soho street style. But for 2026, the Swoosh is hitting the reset button. As confirmed in Nike's latest global announcement, ACG is being reintroduced as a dedicated outdoor performance brand. The mission? To inspire athletes to "unplug," step away from the screen, and test their mettle against the elements.

All Conditions Gear is a dedicated outdoor-performance brand for all athletes who seek the challenge, adventure and connection of thriving in the wild.

Nike

Technical, Innovative, Stylish

Since it officially launched in 1989, ACG has created a lot of interesting designs, like the Lava Dome, the Magma, and the Approach boot. It was always meant to be a laboratory for gear that laughs in the face of a gale.

Scott LeClair, VP/GM of ACG, calls this pivot a "defining moment," promising that "All Conditions" will once again mean exactly what it says on the tin: gear engineered for any weather and any terrain.

Leading this charge in 2026 are models like the ACG Ultrafly and the ACG Zegama 2. The Ultrafly is being touted as the "super-shoe for the trail." It’s packed with carbon-plate tech and the same ZoomX foam that’s been breaking records on the road, bringing elite speed to the dirt. Meanwhile, the Zegama 2 offers that chunky, max-cushion ride with enough grip to handle the greasiest trails.

If you're looking for something a bit more "low-fi," the ACG Rufus is also making a comeback. This early-2000s slip-on mule is returning in an "Ash Burgundy" colorway, inspired by vintage ice cream sundaes and rustic picnic blankets.

The ACG System

The new ACG, of course, isn't just about footwear. There will be a lot of functional apparel that has also had a technical glow-up. The Radical AirFlow Racing Top claims to offer the best ventilation Nike has ever engineered, while the Lava Loft Jacket (packing 700-fill down) provides serious warmth without the weight.

Furthermore, the "Nike Trail" category is being folded entirely into the ACG umbrella. This cements ACG as the go-to for trail running and trekking. To back this up, they’re partnering with elite events like the Broken Arrow Skyrace and even kitting out athletes for the Cortina Winter Olympics with the Therma-FIT Air Milano Jacket. To this, they open the first ACG Base Camp in Beijing.

2026 is the year ACG stops playing "outdoor-inspired" and starts leading the pack again. Whether you’re a serious fell runner or just need to survive a rainy trek to the tube station, ACG has you covered.
