On February 11 and 12, 2023 PUMA introduced their new silhouette; the Velophasis. The sneaker has a sporty silhouette and takes its inspiration from PUMA running shoes from the 2000s. Sneakerjagers attended the release party in Berlin.
Last weekend, the new PUMA Velophasis model was introduced in style. The silhouette, released in three colorways, has a sleek look and combines the signature style from 2000 with innovative technologies anno 2023. The release of the sneaker was celebrated with a special event and Sneaker hunters were invited.
During the PUMA Velophasis event in Berlin, a workshop was held by Richard Green focusing on creativity. In this workshop, attendees could cast their own Velophasis sneakers in plaster and customize their own pair. With paint and chains, all kinds of unique designs were created.
Fully outfitted in overall and custom PUMA protective goggles, people also got to pound their own sneakers out of a plaster block. Attendees were given their own hammers and were allowed to go wild on the block to obtain a colorway of the new silhouette. The sneaker, wrapped in plastic to prevent damage, was then allowed to be taken home.
