The Nike ISPA team has one goal: to go beyond all boundaries of the sneaker world! And Nike ISPA has done just that. In June 2022, Nike will release the first of two futuristic models - ISPA Link and ISPA Link Axis.
There has never been a comparable innovation in the sneaker industry. Nike ISPA, which incidentally stands for "Improvise, Scavenge, Protect and Adapt", has designed two revolutionary silhouettes.
Both models are shoes that do not need to be glued together, as is usually the case, but you can simply take them apart in three parts and assemble them together.
Nike ISPA Link
So this futuristic model consists of only three parts: The upper, a sole and laces. You just put these parts together and the sneaker is finished.
We expect the release of the Nike ISPA link in June 2022.
Nike ISPA Link Axis
The second model is the Nike ISPA Link Axis, which is made entirely from recycled materials. The upper is made of recycled polyester and the sole is made of 100% recycled TPU, which is extracted from old airbags.
We do not expect the Nike ISPA Link Axis until early 2023.
Unlike other sneakers, the recycling process of these innovative kicks is super easy - you can just take the shoes apart and drop them off at a Nike shop. Regular sneakers, on the other hand, can hardly be fully recycled and the process is not exactly environmentally friendly, as the shoes cannot be properly disassembled at first due to the glue and the shredding afterwards is also super energy intensive.
Once again, this brings Nike a big step closer to its 2025 sustainability goals.
