Nike is on a roll with releasing Air Jordan 5s. After the recent rerelease of the 'Black Metallic Reimagined'—a follow-up to the classic 'Black Metallic'—we recently saw the first images of the Awake NY x Air Jordan 5 on the feet of Sukii Baby.
The next release in the line up is the 'Fire Red', and images of it have just been revealed.
The 'Fire Red' is one of the colorways in which the Air Jordan 5 debuted in 1990. Since that initial release, several versions of this well-known colorway have appeared, but none have come as close to the original as the 2025 release.
The sneaker uses red, black, and white colors. The upper is made from premium leather, while synthetic materials are used for the tongue and mudguard. The iconic mesh panel—characteristic of the Air Jordan 5—is featured on the midfoot.
This is the first time since 1990 that both the original Nike Air logo on the heel and the '23' jersey number in the specific embroidery style have been brought back, making this release even more beloved.
The Air Jordan 5 Retro 'Fire Red' is expected to be released on September 13, 2025. For updates, stay tuned to the Sneakerjagers news page.
