PUMA and Manchester City have come up with something special for their supporters. They have launched an AI platform that allows fans to design the official third kit for Manchester City for the 2026/27 season. With the new PUMA AI Creator tool, fans can unleash their creativity using text input, customizable tools, and sliders to create a unique design for the shirt.
Upon signing up, participants receive 15 free design credits and can submit up to two entries. Fans can submit their designs until December 20, 2024, after which an expert jury from PUMA and Manchester City, along with fan ratings, will select a top ten.
In January 2025, fans can vote for the design they would most like to see on the pitch. The winning design will be worn by the players and will be available for purchase by supporters. This marks the first time an AI-designed football shirt will actually be worn in a match.
The project started with a specially designed goalkeeper kit, created by City players Ederson, Stefan Ortega, and Rico Lewis. This unique shirt, inspired by the net of a football goal, will be available in limited edition.
