In 1980, UGG became a symbol of the casual lifestyle in and of California. At first, the padded shoes could only be found in surf shops along the coast. The colder it got, the more ski shops realised the idea of the cosy boots and appeared here too.
In the late 1990s, stars also discovered the casual boots and made them increasingly famous in the fashion industry. Today, you can see UGGS all over the world.
