Naast een sneaker addict ben ik ook nog eens een sneaker journalist! Via mijn blog www.kickoutofthebox.com vertel ik mijn eigen sneakerverhalen en sneakerliefde en die van velen andere sneakerheads van over de hele wereld.

There’s nothing better then that moment when one of your dear friends surprises you! Usually people don’t succeed in surprising me, because I’m just to damn nosy… but Kiwan I have to hand it to you and your sweet wife… You did it!
As you all know 2018 hasn’t really been my year up until now, but I did learn that there really always is a silver lining. You just have to want to see it!
My silver lining is that I’ve learned a lot about the importance of the little things in life… friends who have your back no matter what, enjoying a beautiful and sunny day with your hubby and girls or just having one moment of peace when all that seems to be around you is chaos.
To come back to the friends having your back part, like I said my dear friend Kiwan and his sweet wife managed to really surprise me…
I’m a sucker for most of the Doernbecher releases, but last year was kinda disappointing to me. There was one I truly loved though. The Air More Uptempo designed by Brody Miller. I fell in love with that shoe even before I’d read his design story. To me there was something heroic about the shoe, I couldn’t explain it, I just loved it so much.
When I read his story the whole heroic part started to make sense and I decided I had to have these kicks. I just never would have thought I’d be able to do so with the help of someone I knew. I’m not really a risk taker, I’m a bit of a wuss actually. This is why I’m really careful when it comes to purchasing kicks overseas.
Being my Soleprovider, Kiwan knows me very well when it comes to kicks LOL.
I didn’t tell him about my wish to add these Doernbechers to my collection and still when he was able to uptain them he came straight to me.
I was so happy when the package arrived. At that point I could use some of that bliss a new pair of kicks brings.
The real surprise came when I opened the box though… the party just kept on going. There were all sorts of presents in there. For me, for the girls and for my hubby. I couldn’t believe my eyes!
Afterwards Kiwan told me that his goal was to spoil us because of those hard times. Well boy did he succeed!!
Our beautiful culture just keeps on amazing me… It allows us to meet so many great people. In the end we’re like one big family!
My present was this great sample Nike ACG pants, so you can imagine I just had to put together an outfit as soon as I could (✿◠‿◠)!
