Jeff Staple and PUMA are anything but strangers to each other. The two have released multiple collaborations. The Staple x PUMA Suede 'Yellow' counts as the brands' fourth collab on PUMA's Suede model.
As the name of the PUMA silhouette gives away, the entire upper of the sneaker is made of suede, in this case in a yellow colour. Yet this Staple x PUMA collaboration is not monotonous, as it uses different shades of yellow. This can be seen on the heel tab, tongue, toebox and lace panel.
The black Formstrip comes in a material with a reptilian appearance. Above the strip, the name of the model and the logos of the two brands are placed in black letters. The sneaker is finished off by a white sole.
There is speculation in the sneaker community that the Staple x Puma Suede 'Yellow' was inspired by an outfit worn by Bruce Lee in the 1978 film Game of Death. Neither Jeff Staple nor PUMA has confirmed this statement.
