Ye, aka Kanye West, announced his new YEEZY Gap Engineered by Balenciaga collection in his music video for the song 'Life Of The Party'. These three names have collaborated in the past and are now coming up with a new collection. The collection will be available on May 25, 2022.
On 9 May 2022, the clip of the song 'Life Of The Party' was released. This song, in collaboration with André 3000, also appeared on the album DONDA (2021). In the clip, we see several of Ye's childhood photos.
With the help of Deepfake, it seems as if the pictures are singing along with the song. The clip also served as an ad for the upcoming collection.
In early January 2022, the first images of the collaboration between YEEZY, GAP and Balenciaga were shown. This deal between the three brands was signed on 29 December 2021. The first collection was released in February 2022. The collection combined the iconic styles of the two brands.
The capsule included several oversized hoodies with the famous GAP logo on the chest. Here, the high-end style of Balenciaga was combined with the accessibility of GAP. The items came in different shades of grey. This style will also be present in the next collection. Most of the items from the clip will be black.
What the collection exactly will look like is still unknown. However, the images from the clip indicate several black hoodies and puffer jackets. The collection will be available at YEEZY GAP on 25 May 2022.
