On the upper of the New Balance 990v3 'Raw Amethyst', different textures and dark tones are mixed. The base of the sneaker is navy blue mesh, which shines through on the toebox and at the collar. The laces are blue as well. A grey suede underlay adds strength to the toe cap and around the middle panel.
The vast majority of the shoe is covered by hairy suede overlays that tint light violet. On the centre panel is the well-known N logo in a red colour, outlined in white. The insoles are the same colour red as the branding.
The tongue of this 990v3 is black with red and white New Balance branding. The white lining provides a nice contrast. Black leather covers the heel tab and includes the text 'Made in USA'. Rounding off the pair is a yellowed ENCAP midsole with grey-tinted details and a black outsole.
