On Thursday June 23rd, 2022, the Teddy Santis x New Balance collection will finally drop. The collection features several popular silhouettes, including the 990v1, 990v2 and 990v3. Teddy Santis x New Balance 990v1 | M990TA1
The Teddy Santis x New Balance 990v1 has an upper made of suede and mesh. The base of the pair is made of mesh and has been given a yellowed colour which gives it a vintage look. The overlays are made of suede and are in grey.
The recognisable 'N' on the side is in white and therefore stands out. This element is made of leather. Around the heel, there is a border in an off-white colour, which provides some more play. The laces are also made in this colour.
The heeltab features the branding of New Balance. The tab itself is made of leather and the logo is pressed into it. The outsole is in black and has a small New Balance logo.
Teddy Santis x New Balance 990v2 | M990TD2
In addition to the 990v1, there is also a Teddy Santis x New Balance 990v2 coming out. This pair is split in the same colour scheme as above, yet looks different. The mesh base is less noticeable with wider and multiple overlays.
Dark grey overlays run across the toebox, adding some playfulness to the sneaker. The toe and side panel are made of suede in a lighter grey shade. Unlike the 990v1, the 'N' on the side of this pair is made of a grey reflective material.
The heeltab of this model is wider and instead of the New Balance logo, it says 'USA' here. The tongue does feature New Balance branding, as does the outsole.
Teddy Santis x New Balance 990v3 | M990TG3
The third and final pair from this drop is the Teddy Santis x New Balance 990v3. This silhouette also looks a lot different compared to the 990v1 and 990v2, despite the same colour scheme.
An additional element on this silhouette are the beige overlays on the toebox and under the collar. These are not seen on the other two pairs and make the 990v3 unique. There are also several cutouts in the middle panel where the mesh is clearly visible through.
The heeltab of the 990v3 is black, but has a beige element underneath. On the beige part is the red New Balance logo. The outsole has a clear profile and also New Balance branding.
