Virgil Abloh's Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1s will release soon

Since its release in 1982, the Nike Air Force 1 has been a staple in streetwear culture. The model originally became very popular among young people from Harlem, one of the northernmost neighborhoods in New York. This is why the model got the nickname 'Uptowns'. Together with Louis Vuitton and Nike, Virgil Abloh has created 47 new editions of the Air Force 1. These sneakers will be released in different phases.

First, all 47 sneakers from the Nike Air Force 1 x Louis Vuitton collection will be on display. Each shoe will be accompanied by an explanation of how the design was achieved. The exhibition will also include a replica of Abloh's studio. The exhibition will be on display from 20 to 31 May at the Greenpoint Terminal department store in New York.

Starting in June, a limited number of Louis Vuitton customers can pre-order the Air Force 1. Later, nine versions of the trainer will be available in Louis Vuitton shops. These models have already been shown at the Louis Vuitton SS22 menswear fashion show.

These sneakers can be divided into three categories. There are the subtle 'Triple White' and 'Triple Black' versions. There will also be three trainers with a white upper and overlays in green, blue or red. The last category consists of so-called 'Metallics'. One pair has the entire upper covered in gold. The other sneaker only has a silver-coloured nose.

The exact release date of the collection is not yet known. What is already known is that the sneakers will cost between €2000 and €2500. Keep an eye on our release calendar and Instagram for further updates on the release.
