[Update 4th. November 2020] What's good Community, I think you all know Michael Jordan, probably the best basketball player ever, but few of you know his son Marcus Jordan. He also was a basketball player, but only at college level and not in the NBA. However Marcus Jordan has also gone his way in life and has his own sneaker store "Trophy Room". Which has had some collaborations with the Jordan Brand in the past. Where do you think the Connections came from 😉? That should be clear to everyone, but more important is what comes out of the father-son collaboration, the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 "Chicago".
The silhouette is world famous, the Air Jordan 1 High OG, it can't be more iconic. Also the Colorway on which the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 'Chicago' is, is one of the most famous Colorways in the sneaker scene. It is the OG Colorway of Jordan 1, named after the team of MJ, the Chicago Bulls, who played in red and white jerseys.
This legendary sneaker is now also used for collaboration. Some little details make it even more special. These details include Michael Jordan's signature on the side, red and blue stars on the transparent outsole of the shoe and a small quote, the meaning of which I will explain in a moment.
Indianapolis All Star Game 1985
Exact release info is unknown, but we assume that the shoe will release for the NBA All Star Game 2021. Due to Corona it is unknown when this will take place. Why exactly the All Star Game? First, the Jordan Brand always releases special kickz for the All Star Game. More importantly the All Star Game is back in Indianapolis. The same place where Michael Jordan played his very first All Star Game in 1985.
For those of you who don't know what the All Star Game is, it is a kind of friendly game where the best players in the NBA play against each other. In the past the best players of the east teams played against the best of the west, today two captains choose the teams.
In 1985 in Jordan's first All Star game, the first big mystery about Jordan occurred. It was said, that the other All Stars were annoyed by Jordan's behaviour and didn't pass the ball to him, so the game is now known as a Freeze Out Game. Whether Jordan was boycotted systematically by his teammates is not exactly clear. As the story was never confirmed by any of the players.
Inside the shoe now says "Rumor has it", which means as much as the rumors say. Is this a reference to the Freeze Out Game? I don't know, what is much more important to me, than a resolution of the story, would a release as soon as possible, because the Jordan looks insanely nice.
