In 2021, the adidas ZX 8000 silhouette will be bringing us not only one strong colourway after another, but also many special collaborations. Now the first images of a new design have surfaced, for which NEIGHBORHOOD and UNDEFEATED have once again teamed up with adidas. The new project of this awesome triple collab was recently leaked by NEIGHBORHOOD founder Shinsuke Takizawa on Instagram.
Let's first get an impression of the kicks and then take a closer look at the collaborators! Let's go:
UNDEFEATED x NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas ZX 8000
A black and a white pair of the UNDEFEATED x NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas ZX 8000 will be available soon. Both versions feature, how could it be otherwise with the designers, a lot of details. In terms of materials, we see mesh, braided details, plastic and as an extra: reflective elements.
As we are used to from the ZX 8000, the TPU support at the heel is also present in this design. Over the toe area and also on the sides, braided material has been used as a further highlight. But the sole is particularly eye-catching. It has a fishnet effect that adorns a rubber sole.
Of course, the branding isn't missing from this special collaboration. The tongue therefore clearly reads: "UNDEFEATED". The brand logo is also found on the heel. NEIGHBORHOOD, on the other hand, has kept it a little quieter. Their logo can only be seen on the heel.
Unfortunately, we don't have an exact release date for you yet. However, we can assume that the UNDEFEATED x NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas ZX 8000 won't be too long in coming. NEIGHBORHOOD might be known to some of you through their many collaborations in the sneaker game. The Japanese label was founded by Shinsuke Takizawa and is known for its Americana-style designs. They also place a lot of emphasis on quality and craftsmanship.
The brand has been working with adidas on and off since 2005, but we've also seen a few NEIGHBORHOOD x Converse releases, several collaborations with Nike and a sneaker with BAPE. Now it's time for UNDEFEATED x NEIGHBORHOOD to team up again.
The UNDEFEATED brand has been around since 2002. The sneaker store and clothing brand was founded by James Bond in Los Angeles in 2002. (No, not James Bond 007 😉). Since its founding, the then still quite small sneaker boutique has developed into a top brand. Today, there are 30 UNDEFEATED stores worldwide.
UNDFTD is an important brand that is also world-famous in the sneaker scene due to their influence in street style and especially due to their special collaborations! Besides NEIGBORHOOD, they have also worked with Nike and Converse, among others, and of course we still remember the UNDEFEATED x BAPE x adidas ZX 8000 - and we are looking forward to the new collaboration between the brands!
