Will Pharrell Williams become an even more important collab partner for the brand after the end of the collaboration between adidas and YE? The duo has already designed a few kicks together in the past - including the NMD S1 RYAT, Sichona and the NMD HU colorway. Now we can expect a brand new NMD S1 MAHBS.
The adidas NMD has been an integral part of the adidas range for 8 years now. The initial hype quickly turned into an 'Everyday Sneaker' that has established itself in the sneaker scene to this day.
At the end of 2021, the 'futuristic' successor to the bestseller appeared with the NMD_S1. Visually, it differs significantly from the first NMD generation. With the update, the rather slim NMD silhouette became a model that takes on a more 'chunky' look.
The Pharrell x adidas NMD S1 MAUBS is very different from the rest of the collabs and is more of a sleek, minimalist interpretation of the original.
Canvas materials replace the usual Primeknit here. The laces are laced through the adjacent eyelets and come in light grey, which complements the tongue and collar.
On the heel we see a bold royal blue and also the 'Humanrace' branding on the side.
The first confirmed colorway in 'Oatmeal/Blue Corn' will be released on 27 January 2023 via the adidas Confirmed App. We will also keep you updated via our release calendar!
